Justyna Swiety-Ersetic confirms Torun return

This time Swiety-Ersetic will come to Torun as a double European Champion and the silver medalist of the World Indoor Championships. During the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham she was second in the relay 4x400m. What is more, they beat the national record of Poland. In August she won the 400m and the relay 4x400m on the European Championships in Berlin. The polish athlete made an amazing feat by winning two gold medals in one hour and half. Swiety-Ersetic ran an European leading time of 50.41 and set a new personal best as well.

During the fifth edition of the Orlen Copernicus Cup the 26-year-old runner will compete on the 400m and one of her opponents will be Lisanne de Witte, bronze medalist of the European Championships. De Witte set a new personal best time of 50.77 in the final in Berlin. The current meeting record holder also announced her performance. The Swiss athlete and the winner of the IAAF World Indoor Tour 2018, Lea Sprunger want to make the effort to defend the meeting record, which is 51.28.

Certainly, the other medalist of the European Championships want to thwart their plans and win the 400m. On the blue track we will see Iga Baumgart-Witan, Malgorzata Holub-Kowalik, Martyna Dabrowska and the finalist from Berlin, the Dutch Madiea Ghafoor. We are waiting for great emotions on 6 February!
